How Churches Facilitate CoffeeChatConnect Groups

A Monthly Framework for Churches

Churches facilitate CoffeeChatConnect groups using a flexible monthly structure: week one features combined worship with all groups together, weeks two through four see groups meeting independently for focused fellowship, and any fifth week becomes a relaxed fellowship activity time. This adaptable framework balances corporate worship with intimate small group connections, creating sustainable community throughout the year.

Week 1

Combined Worship

The first week’s “Seek First” initiative invites all CCC groups—including those from other churches—to join your worship service. Congregation members share testimonies about God’s current work in their lives, inspiring the gathered community and strengthening collective faith.

Weeks 2-4

Focus Weeks

Groups meet independently for three consecutive weeks, creating intimate gatherings for fellowship and personal growth. Without the broader church present, members can share more personally, offer targeted encouragement, and develop deeper connections that transform casual acquaintances into genuine community, whilst addressing their specific needs at their own pace.

Week 5

Fun/Outreach

Groups prioritise pure enjoyment through exciting activities that help members drop their guard and reveal authentic selves beyond “Sunday best” personas. These experiences—whether group outings, community outreaches, friendly competitions, game nights, or creative projects—build trust, deepen friendships, and prevent group dynamics from becoming stale whilst transforming surface-level interactions into meaningful bonds.
