Belong
Last Edition Recap
How have you applied the last edition to your life?
Opening Prayer
Lord Jesus, help us discover where we truly belong and teach us to remain rooted in Your joy. Amen.
Introduction
A successful fruit farmer owned both thriving orchards and a profitable factory. His fruit trees, nourished by an underground spring, produced the most succulent, sought-after fruit globally. But disaster struck when toxic waste from his own factory poisoned the spring. The once-flourishing trees wilted, the fruit turned sour and grainy. He faced an agonising choice: keep the factory that provided immediate profits, or save the orchards that sustained life. Today’s world bombards us with negativity—endless complaints, pessimistic news, toxic attitudes. Like that factory, these influences poison our spiritual springs. We produce the works of success whilst our joy withers. Yet Christ calls us to bear fruit that remains, fruit that brings life. The question isn’t whether we feel the poison’s effects, but whether we’ll shut down what’s toxic to preserve what’s eternal.

Final Thought
Like the farmer who discovered his own factory was destroying his fruit, we often harbour the very things that poison our joy. The toxic waste of negativity, pessimism, and complaint flows through our conversations, our media consumption, our thought patterns. But Christ offers a different source—He is the true vine, the pure spring. When we remain in Him, we don’t just survive; we bear fruit that feeds a hungry world. You belong to this vine. You’re not merely attached; you’re a living branch designed to carry His life to others. The fruit of the Spirit—love, joy, peace—these aren’t goals to achieve but the natural overflow of staying connected to Christ. Choose to shut down the factory. Protect the spring. Remain in the vine.
