Edition 29
Tick-Tock
Last Edition Recap
How have you applied the last edition to your life?
Opening Prayer
Merciful God, thank You for the gift of time; teach us to number our days wisely before the clock runs out. Amen.
Introduction
“Time is a great healer, but a poor beautician.” The wrinkles prove it. The grey hair confirms it. The clock never lies—every tick is a tock closer to death. We’ve all been given time. We all share it. But it’s running out. Every second that passes is another second you can’t retrieve, another moment closer to your final breath. You ARE going to die. Five minutes from now? Fifty years? Nobody knows. But if you’ve accepted Jesus Christ as Lord and Saviour, you’re not just counting down to death—you’re counting down to birth into eternal life. Time is God’s gift to get our souls aligned with Him. Yet we treat it like spare change, wasting it on what won’t matter in eternity. There’s no grey area with salvation—either you accept Jesus or you don’t. Either you’re using time to prepare for eternal life or you’re not. Shakespeare warned: “Better three hours too soon than a minute too late.” But with your soul, even a minute too late is forever too late. “Yesterday’s the past, tomorrow’s the future, but today is a gift. That’s why it’s called the present.” The question isn’t how much time you have left—it’s what you’re doing with the time you have now. The clock is ticking. What are you waiting for?

Final Thought
Consider this: By the time you get to the end of this sentence, you will have realised that I have said nothing at all. Now apply this to your life: By the time you get to the end of your life, will you realise you have wasted your gift of time, or will you be pleased because you used your remaining time wisely? It’s only too late when you die. Right NOW God is showing you His mercy, giving you more time to get right with Him. Don’t waste it. Every tick of the clock is God’s patience in action. He’s not slow—He’s patient, not wanting anyone to perish. But patience has limits. Time has an end. The lukewarm church in Revelation thought they had time to decide, time to commit, time to get serious. Jesus said He’d spit them out. Why has God kept you alive until now? Not for you to contemplate eternity but to prepare for it. Not to debate salvation but to accept it. The clock doesn’t pause for indecision. Either accepting Jesus starts your journey toward eternal life, or not accepting Him leads toward eternal death. There’s no third option, no extra time, no overtime. The present is called a gift because it’s all you’re guaranteed. Yesterday is gone. Tomorrow might never come. But right now, this moment, you have time. What will you do with it?
